I was in i-tunes, just collecting my weekly listening and I dropped by the ‘Chris Oatley Artcast’ to my amazement cast #41 isn’t posted. Just wanted to know if you post all your casts in i-tunes or just some of them. I’m listening to the cast now, but, just thought I’d ask just in case I overlooked the title or something.
Thanks for any attention you’re able to give this and I’ll see you around the paper wings aviary.
“Aviary” – that is amazing, Ron.
I’ll have to check, but I think I had to take that episode down for legal reasons.
Really enjoyed this, being the first ‘cast I’ve listened to here. I went through the list and asked myself, “which one of these would benefit me tonight?” and the title screamed at me. I’ve been having trouble with a graphic novel that’s been going through too many incarnations in its first chapter and I’ve realized now I was putting too much energy into it when there’s another project I only saw through to its first draft. Time for project “tough love” and reassessment. But now I have more direction.
Loved the closing music, btw. Reminds me of Andrew Bird, only distinctly not. Will definitely click the link.
This was wonderful!
It was not what I expected but it was definitely a treat. I actually work at Ralph’s Grocery here in L.A. and have been bagging groceries for 2 years now. So everything that was mentioned I truly understand. Hired at 17 and now I’m 20 doing the exact same job. It can be so tedious, but hey, it pays the bills!
Thanks for the listen!
My problem seems to be just getting started, lol. Once I get something started, then I’m all good. But sometimes it’s like trying to start a car whose engine just will not roll over. But once it does, then I can go on for miles and miles. Haha
As I was listening to your personal advice and opinion on the cartoon DVDs, I couldn’t help but think about Kickstarter. Depending on the support by fans, a kickstarter project can be fully funded. In fact, many of the prices/incentives for the funders included exclusive content. I just wonder what you think of Kickstarter, and if you’ve ever used it. I can’t tell what year or when this post or podcast is. Kickstarter is relatively new but is already getting extremely popular to fund professional and DIY projects.
