I listen to Laura and you on Paper Wings and sought your "Artcast" out when I ran out of podcasts. I have a "completist" personality so I've started at episode 1 and have made it here so far (in a week). I don't state "economic situation" as an excuse personally, but I found your last anecdote in this episode brilliant. Your call to artists to do everything possible and see where they're at after was creatively rousing for me. From listening to roughly 30 hours of you speaking, I find your altruism and sincerity, along with true industry advice and knowledge, an invaluable source. Though I live in Rhode Island, I hope and look forward to becoming an "internet" friend for no other reason than your digital presence encouraging me to raise my own bar.
